My Grandmother's parents

and the house where they lived
Threshing, or in the local dialect "troshin'".  Probably about 1895.  The boy near the front wheel of the engine is my Mother's Father.

A few years later he was in the trenches of Flanders and they sent him this postcard.
He lived to tell the tale.

Here he is in 1947 with myself and elder brother.
My Father (right), with cousins and siblings, about 1932
My Mother (right), with one of her sisters, about 1929
Mum and Dad on their diamond wedding anniversary in 1994
The house which was home for the first 17 years
